Boet Fighter/KFC Collab wins Bronze at 2020 Loerie Awards in “Digital Apps/Games/Tools” Category

At the 2020 Loerie Awards in November, Boet Fighter’s collaboration with KFC South Africa/Ogilvy SA/Mindshare picked up a Bronze Award in the category; Digital Applications, Games and Interactive Tools.

This follows the same campaign winning a Silver and Bronze at the Bookmark Awards earlier the same year.

The awards were a recognition of our collaboration to create custom Boet Fighter arcade machines for KFC’s stand at Comic Con (of which they were the headline sponsor).

With visitors to ‘Con already clambering to get a chance to play Boet Fighter at our own stand before its impending release, we created custom additonal arcade machines for KFC’s stand, featuring a unique stage, complete with a a KFC outlet in the background, and Ogilvy’s “Super Sanders” Col. Sanders character cheering on.

Crowd response was great, as was that of our clients. Organic social engagement was generated. Brand-building was achieved. Rich brand experiences were had. And a jolly good time was had by all.

On behalf of the Boet Fighter Team, we’re very proud of this achievement and grateful to have been involved. And special thanks to Louis Du Pisani, who worked his derrière off on this one.
