When budget is limited and you need to make a TV ad for a beloved national team, there’s only one thing for it… Do everything! With the awesome team at Love Digital, I conceptualised, pitched, scripted, voiced, and then starred in this Supersport TV ad for the Sevens Tournament in Nelson Mandela Bay, which took place in December 2014.
Actually, I played five characters. I wasn’t in the right shape to play the South African Sevens Team, sadly, so we had to call upon them to play themselves…

We then created a series of supporting Youtube videos to give the campaign added reach in social media and to create additional interest in the tournament. They achieved in excess of 100 000 views between them. Worth embarrassing yourself to near death, I guess…
